In the video below, you’ll get an exotic bird’s eye view of the intrepid Imagineers in their natural habitat, creating magic for all of us to enjoy!
The “gnu” magic includes new adventures that stay true to the experience we know and love – more humor, more wildlife and skipper heart. At Disney Parks, we continue to look for ways to enhance classic attractions and elevate the experience for all of our guests.
The enhancements include several new scenes and new characters from around the world – beginning with a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry. You can count on our skippers to share the unique adventure with the jokes and fun interactions that make them world-famous!
Imagineers could be monkeying around a bit, up until the tour officially opens on July 16. Here’s a tip we got from the dock: Disneyland skippers are getting up to speed in their tramp steamers, and there’s a chance you may get to stow away on an early expedition starting today!
We think you’re going to love the new adventures on the Jungle Cruise! (And if you don’t, my name is Kungaloosh and you’ll love Space Mountain!) ~ Shannon Swanson - Public Relations Manager, Disneyland Resort
ABOUT
The Jungle Cruise is a riverboat attraction located in Adventureland at four Disney theme parks worldwide: Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland (entitled Jungle River Cruise). Disneyland Paris and Shanghai Disneyland are the only Magic Kingdom-style Disney parks that do not have the Jungle Cruise in their attraction rosters but are yet to receive one or another similar attraction.
The attraction simulates a riverboat cruise down several major rivers of Asia, Africa, and South America. Park guests board replica steam launches from a 1930s British explorers' lodge and are taken on a voyage past many different Audio-Animatronic jungle animals. The tour is led by a live Disney Cast Member delivering humorous narration. This narration is based on a written and practiced script, but generally is largely delivered ad-lib.
