Our first time experiencing a Turkish bath was VERY hot and steamy! Traditionally, men and women bathe separately but, for our first time, we decided to visit the Suleymaniye Hamam in Istanbul, which allows men and women to go together. This historic bath was built between 1550 and 1557 by an architect named Sinan who built over 400 buildings during his lifetime, including the famous Suleymaniye Mosque. In this video, we walk you through the entire Turkish bath experience, from checking in and changing into garments made of Turkish towels, to entering the bath and laying down on marble slabs, to getting exfoliated and receiving the most luxurious bubble bath in the world.
