I built my dream GULF Racing garage in GTA Online, now you can do it too

So today we are talking about liveries in GTA Online, in particular the golf livery, how to get it and which cars it looks particularly good on. Now liveries have been around since the turn of the century when each country was assigned a different colour that they were racing. Over time that turned into sponsorship, which over time turned into looks like this where it looks like someone just loaded a load of stickers into a t-shirt gun and fired them at the car and hoped they stuck somewhere nice.

Now eventually people did get to grips with making these things look nice and some teams were even able to create classic liveries and then replace them with more classic liveries and then replace them with more classic liveries. But then other teams would come up with one classic livery, when they came to replace it, it looked like an absolute dog's dinner. But then that same livery on a different car, instant classic.

Some teams tried to innovate, Jordan got away with it with the bitten and hisses and buzzing hornets liveries, but then BAR with the split livery looked horrific. In my mind there are three that have really stood the test of time and they're Castrol, Martigny and of course Golf. So in this video we're going to look at the Golf livery which is arguably one of the best ever, it looks gorgeous on anything.

Now there are two ways you can get them, first of all you can log into Rockstar Social Club, go to edit your crew, go to edit your logo, choose to use the delivery, sorry the logo that you already have selected, then head over to this tool, upload the image that you want to use, mess around with the settings until the indicator goes green showing that it's below the memory limit, click to generate the code, copy the code, go back over to the Rockstar Social Club page, inspect the source of that page, go over to the console, clear the errors, enable editing and paste the code in there. And that's the simple way he says of getting any image you want into the emblem creator. Now if you think that looks like a bit of a faff, that's because it really is quite a bit of a faff, but luckily for you there is a much easier way of getting access to this logo for your crew emblem, and that is to just join my crew, this one here.

It'll give you three benefits, first of all it'll mean you're part of my crew which automatically means you're one of the cool kids, it gives you access to the Golf logo, so this is a really well produced Golf logo with a transparent background which if you then choose to apply your crew emblem, lots of cars have really good places where you can put it, so it's an instant step towards getting this epic livery. And third of all, the actual crew colour for this crew is a really good representation of the Golf blue provided by Quiet the Rhino, so thanks for that. So now what I'm going to do, I'm going to look at which cars this looks good on, and I'm going to do it with a good old tier list.

I'm starting with what I'm going to call Ass tier, but for those in the UK these ones are dogshit. So off we go with the Adder, now there's a reason I did the Adder and we'll come back to that later, one of the reasons is it's one of the few cars where you can put the logo on the bonnet but it just doesn't have enough customisation to make this work, so sorry you're in Ass tier. And I'm not quite sure why I expected it to work on the Nebula Turbo, maybe because it's a car of the 70s, but it just shows that you have to be careful, you can't carry this off on every car that you've got, but there are some where it works amazingly well.

So let's get into those now with B tier, because these all look so good I couldn't go any lower than B tier. And we start with the Tyrus, now I wish this could go higher but the colour balance between the orange and the blue isn't quite right, and you can't put the trim logo on there, but it's a cool car based on the McLaren Longtail, which was cool enough in my book. Next up we've got the Thrax, and this is why I did the Adder, because the other two Trophes worked really well.

Arguably this one doesn't work as well as the Nero, but it's still pretty decent, you get a good balance between the blue and the orange, you can put the crew logo on the door, it's a little bit small but not too much though, and it's just generally a pretty car. It really really does work really well. Next in B tier we've got the Fista Comet S2, without the wrong livery.

Now if you don't know what the wrong livery is, this is a livery that was available for a very short amount of time. If you don't have it, this is a reasonable job you can do, but we'll come back to it much later in this list. Much later.
