Massing & Structure:

The design uses a simple Box-like Massing, clearly articulated and softened by horizontal lines.

Proportion: The second floor features a pronounced Cantilevered Structure that overhangs the first floor, providing shade for the outdoor patio and adding visual depth.

Facade & Materials:

Material Contrast: This is the core design element. The first floor uses Dark Stone Cladding (or dark grey tile) for a solid, grounding base. The second floor is clad in light-toned Exterior Wood Cladding or Wooden Slats/Louvers, lending warmth and lightness.

Fenestration: Features Full-height Glazing and large fixed glass panels, maximizing daylight and the Visual Connection to the surrounding landscape. The second-floor balcony uses a Frameless Glass Railing to maintain openness.

Roof:

A low-sloped/flat roof with generous Eaves or Overhangs, characteristic of Japanese and tropical architecture, providing essential protection from sun and rain.
